Discover how to care for your landscape sustainably in this all-new workshop series. Take just one class, or sign up for all five and earn a signed certificate. Workshops are open to all green and non-green thumbs; Sustainable Gardening I classes are not a pre-requisite.
Classes meet at the Mounts Auditorium at 531 N. Military Trail in West Palm Beach on Wednesday mornings, September 11 through October 9 from 9:00 – 11:30 am. They repeat on Saturday mornings at the same times and place starting on September 14 and ending on October 12. Attendees can mix and match week and weekend days and still earn a certificate.
Topics include sustainable approaches to tree, palm and lawn care, including proper pruning. Participants will learn about new fatal lawn and palm diseases, as well as non-chemical and chemical methods of weed management, including alternatives to glyphosate.
Please pre-register by contacting Candace Smith at csmith5@pbcgov.org or 561-233-1759. Fee is $10 for one or all classes to cover class materials.
