Foreclosure Prevention Program

N​OTICE OF FUNDING AVAILABILITY

Palm Beach County Department of Housing and Economic Development (HED) announces the availability of SHIP Foreclosure Prevention funds.  Applications are available online by visiting the website below.  Applications are accepted on a first submitted, first qualified, first served basis, subject to funding availability. 

SHIP Foreclosure Prevention Program - Funding is provided to assist with delinquent mortgage payments (PITI), up to three (3) months additional payments, property taxes, and homeowners insurance. Additionally, funding may assist with late fees, attorney's fees, homeowners' association payments, special assessments, other foreclosure associated costs, and mortgage delinquency and default resolution counseling. Maximum Award Amount is up to $20,000. Assistance will be awarded as a deferred loan secured by a five (5) year mortgage.

Household Size and Income Categories to be served:

 PROGRAMS REQUIRED DOCUMENTS: A list of required documents is located HERE​.   ALL documents must be provided at the time of application – for ALL household members.  If the applicant's property is located in the incorporated areas of Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Boynton Beach, and West Palm Beach, the applicant must apply for assistance with the city where the property is located.
