Daniel Gibson is Chief Program Officer at The Lord’s Place, Inc. in Palm Beach County, Florida. Throughout his 15+ years of experience in social services, he has led initiatives on homelessness and affordable housing and served as Director of Community Impact at United Way of Palm Beach County. Daniel is a past chair of Palm Beach County’s Homeless and Housing Alliance and helped write and introduce Palm Beach County’s current Ten Year Plan to End Homelessness. Daniel is a recognized leader in the community.  

His areas of expertise include program development, interagency collaboration, community-wide initiatives and systemic reform. Daniel’s deep commitment to others is based on the recognition that in order for communities to be safe and profitable, all citizens must have equal access to health, housing, employment and opportunity.  He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Yale University, and his Master’s Degree in Social Work from Barry University.

Goals  

  1. Identify and establish resources for ex-offenders
  2. Analyze current sex offender and sexual predator restrictions for effectiveness and make any appropriate recommendations
  3. Recommend improved monitoring methods
  4. Increase opportunities for sex offender treatment in order to enhance public safety
  5. Educate the community and service providers about sex offender issues
