Highridge Family Center Provides Free Trauma-Informed Day Program for Youth

​Palm Beach County Youth Services Department's Highridge Family Center is providing a 4-days-per-week trauma-informed program for youth ages 11-16, who are experiencing problems at home, school, with friends, and in the community.

In addition to licensed therapists, Highridge staff offers supervision of recreational and creative activities throughout the day. Students who have not been successful with distance learning will have an opportunity to recover credits if possible. The program is free of charge for Palm Beach County residents. Family therapy and group therapy are required components of the program.

Daily sessions are held through July 9 from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and include the following schedule of activities:

  • Breakfast (provided)
  • Distance learning with Palm Beach County Public Schools
  • Lunch (provided)
  • Structured recreational activity
  • Therapeutic group
  • Art /movie activity
  • Pick-up

Highridge Family Center follows CDC recommendations for social distancing, handwashing and face coverings (provided).
