PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL – The Palm Beach County Youth Services Department has officially opened the application window for summer camp providers interested in joining the Summer Camp Scholarship Program (SCSP) for the Summer of 2026. This vital program provides full tuition and fees for summer camp, offering educational and recreational opportunities to children from families with incomes at or below 185% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines.
Summer camp operators in Palm Beach County are encouraged to apply to become an approved SCSP provider for the upcoming summer. The SCSP, funded by the Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners and the Children's Services Council of Palm Beach County, allows parents to work with the assurance that their children are in a safe, engaging environment.
The application period is: December 1, 2025 to January 9, 2026

The SCSP is seeking a variety of camp types to ensure children have a variety of choices for their summer experience. Providers can choose from the four sub-types listed below:
| Camp Type | Focus and Requirements |
| 1. Educational Enrichment Camps | Must feature 50% or more academic programming daily, employ a certified teacher on staff, and administer pre- and post-tests to track academic progress. |
| 2. Specialty Camps | Programs focusing on specific areas, such as sports, dance, technology, art, and/or wellness. |
| 3. Special Needs Camps | Camps designed to provide supportive programming to children on the Autism Spectrum and/or with other related disabilities. |
| 4. Regular Camps | All other general summer camp programs not specifically outlined above. |
