Palm Beach County Water Utilities Department (PBCWUD) is working to repair a utility line near the intersection of Lyons Road and Lantana Road in Lake Worth, resulting in a temporary closure of two lanes of traffic.
PBCWUD was notified just before 1:00 P.M. on Friday, March 17, 2023 that an independent and unaffiliated contractor working near the roadway had struck a PBCWUD force main. Crews were immediately deployed and are working diligently to repair the damaged force main and restore wastewater services as quickly as possible.
This road closure includes:
- One westbound lane on Lantana Road east of the Lyons road intersection.
- The turning lane from Lantana Road northbound onto Lyons road.
These lanes will remain closed until repairs are complete. Closing the affected lanes is necessary to ensure the safety of the public and our repair crews. Drivers should use an alternative route until repairs are completed.
Traffic on Lyons Road will not be affected.
