Palm Beach County Water Utilities Department follows all applicable local, state and federal regulations pertaining to water quality, human health, and safety. Florida Senate Bill 700 “prohibits the use of any additive to a public water supply that is not for the explicit purpose of improving water quality." With the Governor's signature finalizing the bill on May 15, 2025, all Florida utilities are required to comply with this state regulation on or before July 1, 2025. PBCWUD is prepared to meet this directive, and will be in full compliance before July 1, 2025.
