On May 22, 2023, the Planning Division hosted “Unearthing Archaeological Considerations in the Field of Planning" event at the Vista Center. Staff members Chris Davenport, Bryan Davis, Nydia Ponton-Nigaglioni and Jeff Gagnon were the keynote speakers providing a presentation on the importance of archeology and historic preservation in the field of planning.
The event, which was open to the public, was sponsored by the American Planning Association (Florida Chapter/Treasure Coast) and AICP credits were provided for professional planners in attendance.
