On May 3, 2024, Planning, Zoning and Building staff participated in a tour of the county's western Everglades Agricultural Area (EAA) hosted by Florida Crystals. The tour included site visits at a number of locations including a rotational rice farm, the Center of Innovation and Research, and a highly automated distribution center. It was a full day of informative and educational experiences on what makes Palm Beach County #1 in agricultural production.
