Building Officials Association of Palm Beach County (BOAPBC) Hosts Annual Luncheon

Several county officials and staff attended the annual 2023 Joint Association Luncheon at the Lake Worth Casino Ballroom hosted by the Building Officials Association of Palm Beach County (BOAPBC) on August 17, 2023.

There were a number of speakers including Mayor Weiss, County Administrator Verdenia Baker, County Fire Marshal David Derita and Building Division Coordinator Mike Gauger who emphasized the importance of collaboration between industries stakeholders and local governments. 

The luncheon also included a special presentation of a BOAPBC scholarship award to Damon Wells, a recent Palm Beach Gardens High School graduate.  Damon, who ranked 13 out of his class of 615, will be pursuing a Mechanical Engineering Degree at Palm Beach State College. 

BOAPC is a nonprofit corporation comprised of building officials, inspectors, plans examiners, contractors and other related industry members interested in the promotion and enhancement of public safety through the enforcement of applicable construction codes in Palm Beach County. 

Their mission is equipping building professionals through education, advocacy, leadership and code development.
