On June 15, 2023, members of the Building Division attended a meeting of the Broward, Palm Beaches & St. Lucie Realtors® Association to provide a presentation on the Planning, Zoning and Building Department's online building permitting system (ePZB ).
The presentation focused on using ePZB to search property information for building permits (i.e., history, active, inactive, etc.) using various search options (i.e., property address, owner's name, contractor, etc.). It's a valuable tool especially in conjunction with real estate transactions since open and/or inactive permits on a property should be addressed and could potentially become the new property owner's responsibility.
The Building Division Coordinator/Interim Assistant Deputy of Inspections Michael Gauger and Plans Specialist I Jazmine Howzell presented the program to over 60 realtors who were in attendance.
