Agricultural Reserve Public Meeting Held

Thank you to everyone who attended the Agricultural Reserve Public Meeting on June 3, 2026 at the Canyon Branch Library in Boynton Beach.  The meeting included County Commissioners Gregg Weiss and Bobby Powell, Administrator Joseph Abruzzo and Chief Deputy County Administrator Patrick Rutter.  Also in attendance were county staff from Planning, Zoning and Building and Engineering & Public Works Departments.  Attendees had an opportunity to  ask questions and address their concerns. 

 

We appreciate the strong community participation and valuable feedback shared throughout the meeting.  Your input helps shape the future of the Agricultural Reserve!

The meeting was also live-streamed on Channel 20 to ensure broad public access.

A second Agricultural Reserve Public Meeting will be held on June 12 from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm at the Canyon Branch Library.  ​

PZB's Building Division staff recently conducted training sessions on a new countywide software system designed to streamline damage assessment operations during an emergency in unincorporated Palm Beach County.

This new tool enhances coordination, improves operational efficiency, and strengthens response capabilities following storms and other emergency events. By modernizing damage assessment processes, the County continues to support faster decision-making and more effective recovery efforts for impacted communities.

These efforts reflect the ongoing commitment of the Planning, Zoning & Building Department to improve services, strengthen emergency preparedness, and support the resilience of our community.
