The Building Officials Association of Palm Beach County (BOAPBC) has been awarded the 2025 International Code Council (ICC) Chapter Merit Award, marking the first time in the chapter's history that it has received this prestigious recognition.
The ICC Chapter Merit Award honors chapters that demonstrate exceptional performance in advancing building safety, fostering professional development, and providing outstanding service to their communities.
The Palm Beach County Planning, Zoning and Building Department's (PZB) Building Division is proud to be an active member of BOAPBC and congratulates the organization and all its members for this remarkable achievement.
On Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2025, County Commissioner Gregg Weiss presented a Certificate of Commendation to BOAPBC members which included some of PZB's Building Division staff.
“The Building Division is proud to play an active role in BOAPBC — whose current President, Joseph Anderson, serves as a Construction Services Associate within the Division. We are honored to celebrate this milestone alongside them," said Melvin Corredor, Palm Beach County Building Official.
“This award reflects the dedication and leadership of our local building officials, who work tirelessly to ensure safe and resilient construction throughout Palm Beach County," said Whitney Carroll, Executive Director of PZB.
