Palm Beach County is launching the development of its first Countywide Transportation Master Plan (CTMP) - a visionary, multijurisdictional roadmap for a safer, more connected multimodal transportation system that serves all residents, businesses and visitors.

To begin this collaborative effort, the county is inviting the public to a kickoff meeting on Friday, July 18, 2025, from 9 to 10:30 a.m., at the Vista Center, Room VC-1W-47, 2300 N. Jog Road, West Palm Beach.
At the meeting, residents and stakeholders will have the opportunity to meet the consulting team from WSP USA Inc., a nationally recognized professional services firm with extensive expertise in transportation planning. This team was approved by the Board of County Commissioners on June 18, 2025, to lead the development of the CTMP.

The CTMP will serve as a comprehensive framework for Palm Beach County and the municipalities within the county and an opportunity to coordinate and plan transportation improvements that guide the development of a safe, efficient and sustainable transportation network to address current and future needs. The CTMP will also strategically provide for multi-modal transportation options which will address congestion, enhance safety and support economic development while advancing climate and environmental goals.

“This isn’t just a transportation plan. It’s a bold, forward-looking vision for how Palm Beach County moves into the future,” said Mayor Maria G. Marino. “It’s a monumental, all-hands effort, bringing together our 39 municipalities, the School District of Palm Beach County, regional agencies, business leaders and community organizations. Most importantly, we need to hear from the people who live and travel these roads every day. This is everyone’s plan, not just the government’s. Everyone’s voice and ideas matter. And together, we’re building something that will shape how our county connects and moves forward for decades to come.”

The development process will include collaboration between county staff, transportation and planning experts, 39 municipalities, stakeholders and residents. Public engagement opportunities will be provided at key project milestones to be held in various geographical locations in Palm Beach County.
