On June 23, 2025, Palm Beach County Commissioners, county staff and stakeholders gathered to officially break ground on a highly anticipated new facility at Vista Center in West Palm Beach. The upcoming 58,000-square-foot, two-story building will serve as the future home of the Planning, Zoning & Building (PZB) Department’s Building Division, along with a new parking garage.
A key feature of the design includes an elevated walkway that will seamlessly connect the new structure to the existing PZB building—enhancing accessibility across divisions and other departments.
The facility will also serve a vital role during emergencies, doubling as the Emergency Response and Disaster Recovery Center for PZB’s damage assessment team.
Construction is now underway, with completion expected in late 2026 or early 2027. This project has been years in the making, and we are deeply grateful to our dedicated in-house team and consultants whose vision, expertise, and hard work have brought it to life.
We’re excited for what’s ahead—and we look forward to continuing to serve the community in this exceptional new space.
