On Wednesday, May 28, 2025, the PZB’s Building Division hosted the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation’s (DBPR) Building Officials Breakfast.

The event welcomed Building Officials from five counties for a productive morning of collaboration, information-sharing, and networking. Attendees discussed emerging trends, shared best practices, and received key regulatory updates. DBPR State Investigator Wilson shared updates and highlighted case investigations  from across the region.  

A highlight of the morning was a virtual appearance by DBPR Chief Attorney Sally Raines, who provided updates on recent changes to the Florida Administrative Code, Florida Statutes, and answered questions from the field.

Events like this underscore the Building Division’s commitment to fostering strong regional partnerships and ensuring consistent, informed implementation of building codes across the state
