At the May 6, 2024 Board of County Commission meeting, team members from the Planning, Zoning and Building Department were honored to receive a proclamation from Commissioner Maria Sachs, officially declaring May as Building Safety Month for Palm Beach County!  

This recognition highlights the dedication of our Building Division staff in keeping our communities safe, resilient, and well-built—today and every day.
The Building Division safeguards life and property in unincorporated Palm Beach County by administering building codes, reviewing plans, issuing permits, and conducting inspections. We address safety concerns, assist with unsafe conditions, and remain committed to code development and public education.
Let’s continue building strong, safe, and sustainable spaces for all.
