The Palm Beach County Planning, Zoning, and Building Department is pleased to announce the launch of a new online resource to assist county stakeholders affected by state-mandated milestone inspections for condominium and cooperative buildings that are three stories or taller in unincorporated Palm Beach County.

The new Milestone Inspections webpage provides essential guidance and general information on inspection requirements, including association responsibilities, key deadlines, extension requests, submission guidelines, and more.

These mandatory inspections are critical for ensuring the structural integrity of buildings and the safety of residents. All inspections must be conducted by a licensed architect or engineer authorized to practice in Florida. Failure to comply may result in penalties or enforcement action.

To date, the majority of condominiums and cooperative buildings in unincorporated Palm Beach County are in compliance, however, there are still a number of them that are not.  Reminder notices have been sent to the boards of directors and management organizations of the noncompliant buildings.

For more information concerning a condo or cooperative building in unincorporated Palm Beach County, visit the Milestone Inspections webpage at PZB - Building Division or contact the Planning, Zoning, and Building Department – Building Division at 561-233-5020 or email PZB-Milestone-Info@pbc.gov.
