Contractor Regulations Working with PBSO

On November 14, 2024, Code Compliance Division Deputy Director Rick Torrance, Contractor Regulations Senior Field Investigator Jeremy Dennis, and Assistant County Attorney Ryan Maher met with members of the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office (PBSO) Civil Division to discuss joint efforts in addressing unlicensed contracting activities.

These interagency relationships are vital for the division's ability to secure legal support for citations related to unlicensed contractors. The meeting served as an opportunity to review and align on relevant practices and procedures.

The Contractor Regulations section enforces contractor compliance with the State of Florida and local county regulations.  County contractors are required to be certified and insured.  For more information and to confirm a contractor is licensed and insured, click here.  Hiring a licensed contractor is not just a good idea, it's the law!
