On October 15, 2024, Code Compliance Division Deputy Director Rick Torrance and Senior Inspector Jeremy Dennis attended the Town of Highland Beach President's Club meeting which consists of representatives from condominiums throughout the town.
Torrance and Dennis had an opportunity to make a presentation on the importance of hiring licensed contractors including warning signs when hiring a contractor and how to confirm they are licensed and insured, a service provided by their division.
Town representatives were also in attendance including Fire Chief Glenn Joseph and Assistant Chief Matt Welhaf and Building Official Jeff Remis providing presentations on life safety concerns, building permits, new state legislation and more.
