History
Palm Beach County Fire Rescue was created on October 1, 1984, when the Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners passed a resolution consolidating the existing fire districts in Palm Beach County. Prior to 1984 the following fire districts were in existence:
- Jupiter Fire Control District
- Old Dixie Fire Control District
- Juno Fire Control District
- Military Park Fire Control District
- Southwest Fire Control District
- Trail Park Fire Control District
- Reservation Fire Control District
- Del-Trail Fire Control District
- Canal Point Fire Control District
- Northwest Fire Control District
