November 2025 Program Guide for Daggerwing Nature Center

All programs are by reservation only, unless otherwise stated. Please register online at www.pbcparks.com; under “Online Services” click on Register/Pay for Program, or visit the nature center to register and make payment. All participants are required to sign a Program Participation Form before each program. Activities promote environmental awareness, conservation, recreation and educate on health and wellness in the community.

ANIMAL FEEDINGS & TALKS
Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, 2:45 p.m.
Saturdays, 1:00 p.m.
All ages, FREE (Reservations not required)
During feeding time, listen to a short talk about one of Daggerwing’s resident animals.

MOTHER NATURE & ME: THANKSGIVING WITH THE ANIMALS
Tuesday, November 4, 10:30 a.m.
Ages 2-5 (w/guardian), $4/child (Reservations required)
Get ready to jump and shout with Mother Nature through stories, live animals, activities and a craft specifically designed for toddlers and preschoolers!
 
DAGGERWING VISITS THE LIBRARY: BIRDS
Tuesday, November 4, 3:00 p.m.
Adults and children ages 5+, FREE (Reservations required)
Enjoy a special program about birds! Located at the Glades Road Branch Library! Call the library for details and RSVP at 561-482-4554.
 
INTRO TO ARCHERY
Saturday, November 8, 10:30 a.m. 
Adults and children ages 8+, $10/participant (Reservations required)
Join USA Archery certified staff and learn about the exciting sport of archery. This program teaches archery safety, skills and proper use of a bow and arrow before  practicing on the range. Equipment is provided. Note: Bows may be difficult to pull for smaller children.

BIRDING 101
Saturday, November 22, 10:30 a.m.
Adults and children ages 5+, $5/participant (Reservations required)
Learn about the exciting hobby of bird watching. One of our naturalists will teach about different types of birds and identification skills. Afterwards, we will practice these new skills during a guided birding adventure.

FLORIDA ANIMALS: THANKSGIVING WITH THE ANIMALS
Tuesday, November 25, 10:30 a.m.
Adults and children ages 5+, $5/participant (Reservations required)
Meet and greet with some live native animal ambassadors that are found right here in Florida! Learn how these native creatures are adapted to survive in the many habitats found in our home state, with a special focus on what they eat! 

MAGNIFICENT MAMMALS
Saturday, November 29, 10:30 a.m.
Adults and children ages 5+, $5/participant (Reservations required)
Join a naturalist to learn about our native south Florida mammals! Participants will have an opportunity to see and touch biofacts from some common mammals we can find here in the park or our own backyard!
