Approximately 180 youngsters from western Palm Beach County will take part in the 26th Annual A4AFL-PBC West Festival “Storybook Comes to Life” on February 17, 2023 at the Dolly Hand Cultural Arts Center at Palm Beach State College Glades Campus in Belle Glade. The festival is sponsored by Arts4All Florida–Palm Beach County.

The A4AFL-PBC West Festival provides children with disabilities an opportunity to showcase their achievements in the arts and to be exposed to new visual and performing arts experiences. Children from schools in Belle Glade, Canal Point and South Bay will perform, produce and experience thematic art in several forms through hands on instruction from local artists.

“Storybook Comes to Life” experiences include visual and performing arts activities headed by artists from throughout South Florida. Artists Tracy Rosof-Petersen, Ann Marie O’Brien, Rosalinda Kincaid, Penny Robinson Tubbs, Meaghan Urbaniuk and Jagathy Jayankar, will direct the young students in storytelling themed visual arts projects including drawing, mixed media, painting and wearable art. Artists Kat Kenny, Kali DeCarlo, Lisa Lutz, Betty Varnell and Buckley Griffis will lead the students through interactive performing arts activities including music, drama, dance and storytelling.

West Festival is sponsored by businesses and individuals from western Palm Beach County.
