WE NEED YOU!

Help Daggerwing Nature Center work toward the mission of educating people about the environment and inspiring people to become personally involved in conservation efforts! Volunteer positions available include: 

      • ANIMAL CARETAKER
        Care for educational animals by cleaning cages, changing waters, and feeding.

      • BUTTERFLY GARDENER
        Maintain the butterfly garden by weeding, pruning, watering and/or planting.

      • DOCENT/BOARDWALK TOUR GUIDE
        Lead boardwalk tours and assist staff with teaching school programs.

      • GREETER
        Welcome guests at the lobby desk, and answer questions from walk-in visitors and over the phone.

      • GROUNDSKEEPER
        Help to maintain the boardwalk, clean windows, refill birdfeeders, etc.

      • OFFICE ASSISTANT
        Assist with office duties including: filing, computer data entry, social media, etc.

      • SPECIAL EVENTS
        Participate in one-day special events throughout the year.

        Here are some general requirements for volunteering:
      • Be at least fifteen years old.
      • Commit for a minimum of six months.
      • Complete the application process.
