Duration: 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Volunteers must be on site no later than 8:10 a.m. The group will be trucked to the cleanup areas which are several miles southwest of the parking lot.
Directions: From I-95 exit at Donald Ross Road – head east on Donald Ross Road to U.S. Highway 1 – turn left and head north on U.S. Highway 1 for roughly ¼ mile – the parking lot entrance is on the west side of U.S. Highway 1 – you will have to make a U-turn to access the parking lot.
Additional Information: We will be cleaning an area that we missed during the April 27 waterway cleanup event. Volunteers should be prepared for wet and muddy working conditions. Please wear old clothes and shoes that you do not mind getting dirty. Hats and sunscreen are recommended. Restroom facilities are not available at the site. The Department will supply tools, gloves, and refreshments. Event participation is limited to the first 12 volunteers who register.
Register: The volunteer projects are designed for volunteers ages 16 and older. Volunteers 15 and under must be accompanied by parent or guardian.
