Time: 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Directions: From I-95 exit at Linton Blvd. - head west on Linton Blvd. to Congress Ave. - turn left and head south on Congress Ave. for roughly 3/4 mile - the natural area is located on the right (west side of Congress Ave.)– the entrance to the parking lot is located off of SW 29th St.
Additional Information: Volunteers should wear clothing made of light-weight material – long pants are recommended, do not wear jeans (way too hot). Hats are also recommended as we will be working in some areas with full sun. We will be working in brush-filled areas. Poison ivy is found at this site. Restroom facilities are not available at the natural area. The Department will supply tools, gloves, and refreshments. Event participation is limited to the first 10 volunteers who register.
Register: The volunteer projects are designed for volunteers ages 16 and older. Volunteers 15 and under must be accompanied by parent or guardian. Our COVID-19 restrictions have been update. Fully vaccinated volunteers do not need to wear a mask. Those not fully vaccinated are asked to wear a mask when 6 feet of distance can’t be maintained.
