Regular meetings of NAMAC are generally held on the third Friday of each month. Meetings begin at 1:30 p.m. and are held in the Vista Center at 2300 North Jog Road, West Palm Beach, Florida. NAMAC also schedules field trips to sites for which management plans are being prepared and public hearings to obtain comments on the draft management plan.
All meetings and field trips are open to the public.
The purpose of the Advisory Committee is to review and comment
on management plans developed by staff for natural areas and conservation lands managed by
the Palm Beach County Department of Environmental Resources Management ("ERM"), with a
specific focus on proposed public uses of these sites, and to make recommendations to staff on
possible changes to each plan prior to making a recommendation to the Board on approval of the
plan.
