- The annual contractor, Johnson Davis, is expected to return in mid-July to complete the remaining roadway items after the Gateway and Military project.
- Signals
- On Wednesday, May 21st , all mast arms were installed
- Signals are expected to be activated on Friday, June 6
- Ongoing coordination with FPL to de-energize overhead lines to remove existing concrete poles to complete signal installation.
Gateway & Military Project - Roadway
- The annual contractor, Johnson Davis, is expected to begin on Monday, June 2nd, to start sidewalk, curb, and ramp demolition and reconstruction at the northeast corner, then proceed to the other corners of the intersection. Demolition and replacement are expected to last approximately 3 weeks, to mid-June (weather permitting).
- Once the curbs and sidewalks are installed, the focus will shift to milling and paving. This work is expected to last approximately 3 weeks, from mid-June to mid-July (weather permitting).
- Drainage system joint repairs are scheduled after paving operations are completed.
- Signals
- The signal contractor, Gerelco, will work together with Johnson Davis to install PVC conduits for traffic signal wires before the concrete curb and sidewalk are reinstalled.
- Ongoing coordination with FPL to de-energize overhead lines to install the mast arm foundations and mast arms.
- Mast arms began delivery on 5/1/25 to the Hypoluxo & Jog staging area (no space available for storage at the Gateway site)
