1.         Staff recommends motion to receive and file: Warrant List – Backup information can be viewed in the Clerk & Comptroller’s Office.

 

2.         Staff recommends motion to approve: Contracts (regular) and claim settlements list as submitted by various departments to the Clerk & Comptroller=s Office.  Countywide

 

3.         Staff recommends motion to:

 

A) review for sufficiency Report of County Officials Bonds dated January 2022, and

 

B) receive and file Report of County Officials Bonds dated January 2022.

 

SUMMARY: Ordinance No. 98-51 sets the various bond amounts for specified county officers and provides for examination of the sufficiency of all the bonds at the regular meeting of the Board of County Commissioners in January and June of each year. Countywide (DB)

 

4.         Staff recommends motion to receive and file: change orders, work task orders, minor contracts, final payments, and other items approved by the Contract Review Committee and by the department heads for the Engineering Department; Facilities Development and Operations; Water Utilities Department; Environmental Resources Department; and the Department of Airports during September, October and November of 2021.             B.        ENGINEERING & PUBLIC WORKS

 

1.         Staff recommends motion to approve:  an Assignment Assumption and Consent Agreement (Assignment) to transfer both the Gateway Boulevard and High Ridge Road (Gateway/High Ridge) construction contract (R2020-1314) dated September 15, 2020, and the Palmetto Park Road from SW 7th Avenue to SW 5th Avenue (Palmetto Park) construction contract (R2021-0212) dated February 9, 2021 (Contracts) from Hardrives of Delray, Inc. (HDI) to Ranger Construction Industries, Inc. (Ranger). SUMMARY: On November 19, 2021, HDI sold 100% of its issued and outstanding shares of capital stock to Ranger and is now operating as Hardrives Asphalt, a division of Ranger Construction Industries, Inc. Approval of the Assignment will allow the Contracts to be assigned to Ranger. The Affirmative Procurement Initiatives selected for the Contracts are a minimum 10% Small Business Enterprise (SBE) participation for Gateway/High Ridge and a minimum 20% SBE participation for Palmetto Park. HDI committed to 23.1% SBE participation and 20.3% SBE participation for the respective Contracts. Ranger has agreed to comply with each SBE participation commitment. Ranger’s corporate office is located in Palm Beach County. Districts 3 & 4 (YBH)

 

 

C.        COUNTY ATTORNEY

 

1.         Staff recommends motion to approve: Amendment No. 2 to the Contract (R2014-0722) with John Carey, Inspector General. SUMMARY: This amendment extends the current contract term to June 22, 2026, modifies the deferred compensation provision, and provides for an additional contribution of $550 per month to his salary in lieu of car allowance.
