budget transfer of
$5,000,000 within the
CARES Act Relief Fund from Operating Reserves to General Government Expenses. SUMMARY: Pursuant to the CARES Act Relief Fund program, the County received an automatic
payment of $261,174,823 on April
23, 2020. The County has until December 30, 2020 to expend funds. These
funds must only be used to prevent, prepare for, and respond to coronavirus.
The budget transfer will recognize the change in fiscal strategy. These funds
will be transferred to General Government Expenses to be used for Personal
Protection Equipment and other COVID-19 Expenses. Countywide (DB)

1. Staff recommends motion to approve: Donation
Agreement with Florida Power and
Light Company providing 1,000 utility poles for usage within the School Board COVID Broadband
Project. SUMMARY: Palm Beach County has an existing Interlocal Agreement with the School
District for antenna placement on School Board communications towers
(R2020-1261) for distance learning.
Florida Power and Light Company desires to donate 1,000 wooden utility
poles, Class IV, 35 feet or taller to the County for the purpose of
facilitating the School Board’s objectives relating to distance learning. Staff
recommends approval of the Donation Agreement to receive and accept the utility
poles. Countywide (DB)
