Description:
VOLUNTEER EVENT (WEEKDAY EVENT)

What: Remove trash

Where: Yamato Scrub Natural Area – 701 Clint Moore Rd. in Boca Raton

Site Information: Web Site

When: Thursday, June 10, 2021

Time: 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Directions: From I-95 exit at Congress Ave. - head south on Congress Ave. to Clint Moore Road - turn left and head east on Clint Moore Road for roughly 1/2 mile - the natural area entrance is located on the north side of Clint Moore Road - volunteers will need to make a U-turn on Clint Moore Road (at the Boca Raton Shrine Club) to access the natural area parking lot – do not park at the Shrine Club - we will meet everyone in the Yamato Scrub parking lot and then proceed to the project work area. NOTE: Work is being done on the Clint Moore Road bridge that travels over I-95 - you will see lots of Road Closed signs – don’t worry, you can still access the parking lot – just drive to the cone barricade - make a U-turn, and then drive to the parking lot entrance.

Additional Information: Volunteers should wear old clothes and shoes as we will be working in brush-filled areas. Long pants are recommended as we will be working in saw palmettos and tall grassy areas. Hats and sunscreen are recommended. Restroom facilities are not available at the site.
