13th Annual "Science of Chocolate" Event

Science is sweet! During THIS Saturday's Science of Chocolate Fair , visitors will learn the science behind how chocolate is made, its potential health benefits, as well as its chemical properties. This year's featured activities include liquid nitrogen chocolate ice cream demos, make and take coco slime, indulgent chocolate fountain tastings, and live chocolate bean trees. You can join an educational seminar on growing cacao trees in the Florida landscape as well as participate in chocolate-related crafts, activities, and workshops.

Join the YUM & Fun THIS Saturday, February 10, 2018 at the South Florida Science Center and Aquarium (4801 Dreher Trail North, West Palm Beach, FL 33405).

Science of Chocolate Fair begins at 11am.

  • $16.95 for adults, $14.95 for seniors
  • $12.95 for children ages 3-12, FREE for children under 3. 

(This event is included with paid Science Center admission and free for our members. Tickets purchased at the door. Our onsite WT Cafe will have lunch available for purchase.)

UF/IFAS Palm Beach County Commercial Vegetable and Tropical Fruit Agent, Chris Miller, will be on-hand to answer your questions. He will give a presentation at 1:30PM on growing the chocolate bean tree in the south Florida landscape. Be sure to visit his tabletop display featuring live trees and cacao beans.
