June 1st is the official start date of the Atlantic Hurricane Season  and experts are forecasting above-average storm activity. Planning for hurricane season and other potential disasters can be stressful, and because the 2020 hurricane season comes during the COVID-19 pandemic, it may be especially worrisome. Appropriate preparations can be made early to avoid the crowded rush for supplies that are commonplace when a hurricane is actively threatening Florida. Florida's Disaster Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday begins May 29 and extends through June 4.
