The Youth Services Department (YSD) teamed up with Strategic Planning and Performance Management to roll out its new vision, mission, core values, and goals for three cross-division strategic teams: Impactful Services, Equity and Diversity, and Community Collaboration. These new teams are all about engaging employees and letting them help define improvements and performance metrics.

Team representation is cross-divisional and allows members to break down silos and solve problems together. Teams will present to the Youth Services Department Leadership Team bi-monthly and provide recommendations that will take YSD to next level.

"Strategy is facilitated top down, but the most successful implementations are when the employees are engaged and involved in creating the vision, mission and performance metrics" said Dr. Keith Clinkscale, director of Strategic Planning and Performance Management.

YSD is utilizing the same model as the county's six cross department teams and teams created at Palm Tran, Engineering and Public Works, Public Safety, Libraries and the Office of Financial Management and Budget (OFMB).
