In accordance with Palm Beach County Vehicle for Hire Code Chapter 19, Article 9 Section 19-223, the Division will be conducting the 2019 Taxicab & Non-Emergency Medical Transport Van inspections.  No Inspections are required for sedans and limousines. 

The inspections will be conducted for a six (6) day period beginning Tuesday - April 16, 2019 and ending Thursday – April 25, 2019. The inspections will take place at the Consumer Affairs Office located at 50 S. Military Trail, West Palm Beach, FL 33415.
 
All Taxicab and Non-Medical Transportation Van Companies that have submitted fully complete applications for license year 2019 must report to the DCA Office for their yearly inspections.  Inspections will be conducted on a first come first serve basis. Additionally, only vehicles that are listed and documented in the 2019 business application will be inspected. If a business adds additional vehicles to their fleet after submitting the application, those vehicles will need to be scheduled for an inspection at a later date/time.    

The inspection schedule is as follows:

DATES:  April 16-18 & 23-25, 2019 (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday)
 
TIMES:   8:00am to 12:00pm & 2:00pm to 3:00pm

 
All taxicab and non-emergency medical transportation companies are encouraged to review the applicable ordinance sections in reference to signage, taximeter requirements and equipment requirements to ensure the vehicles are prepared for the inspection.
 
Taxi vehicles need to have a Taxi Meter Calibration Form dated within one year of the inspection date.
