Body

Shark Wake Park 561, a cable and water park complex operated inside Okeeheelee Park by JR. Wake Parks, LLC, will have a Grand Opening celebration on Saturday, June 15 beginning at 10 AM at Okeeheelee Park.

County Officials, Greg Norman Jr. and World Golf Hall-of-Fame member Greg Norman will gather for a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10 AM. Following at 11 AM, Shark Wake Park’s Aqua Park and Cable Wake Park will officially open for business. The event will feature live music, food trucks, face painting and pro wakeboarding exhibitions.

The Aqua Park – the largest in Florida at over an acre – is an inflatable, floating playground featuring monkey bars, climbing towers, slides and more. The Cable Wake Park allows for wakeboarding without the need for a boat. Shark Wake Park features two full-size 5-tower cable systems – one beginner and one advanced cable with UNIT Parktech features. Waterskiing, wake skating and knee boarding can also be done from the pulley system.

Established in 2016 by Greg Norman Jr. – son of world golf hall-of-fame member Greg Norman – Shark Wake Park is committed to building and operating the world’s best cable wake parks and water parks for people of all ages. Shark Wake Park has two locations – 843 in North Myrtle Beach, S.C. and 561 in West Palm Beach, FL. For more information: www.sharkwakepark.com
