What: Installing native plants and mulching
Where: Jackson Riverfront Pines Natural Area - along Riverside Drive in Tequesta
When: Thursday, April 18, 2019
Duration: 9 a.m. to noon
Directions: From I-95 exit at Indiantown Road (SR 706) – head east on Indiantown Road to U.S. Highway 1 – turn left and head north on U.S. Highway 1 to Tequesta Dr. – turn left and head west on Tequesta Dr. to Riverside Dr. – turn right and head north on Riverside Drive for roughly 1 mile – natural area is on the west side of the road, just south of Orchid Dr. - look for a white County truck to locate parking area along east side of Riverside Drive.
Additional Information: Volunteers should wear long pants, t-shirts, boots or sneakers. Restroom facilities are not available at the natural area. The Department will supply all tools, gloves, and refreshments. Due to limited parking, event participation is limited to the first 8 volunteers who register. Register: The projects are designed for volunteers ages 16 and older. Volunteers 15 and under must be accompanied by parent or guardian.
