Master Gardeners are volunteers trained by the Palm Beach County Extension Service to provide horticultural education and assistance to the residents of Palm Beach County. Two 16-week training programs are conducted each year. Spring and Fall classes meet on consecutive Wednesdays from 8:30-3:30 pm. in the Mounts Building Auditorium located at 531 N. Military Trail, West Palm Beach, FL. The cost is $199.00 (check or money order only, payable on the first day of class). This fee includes numerous books and an embroidered Master Gardener polo shirt (received at graduation). Seventy-five (75) hours of volunteer service the first year and thirty-five hours (35) each year are required to maintain Master Gardener certification.
