composting graphicA free lecture on Backyard Composting is being offered as part of the 10th installment of the Garden Talks Series hosted by the Acreage Branch Library.  The public is invited to attend this educational opportunity. The class will take place on Saturday, October 19th from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM at the Acreage Branch Library in Loxahatchee.

Join Chris Miller, UF IFAS Fruit & Vegetable Extension Agent, and learn about the many benefits of using compost in south Florida gardens. Save money by discovering how to create your own compost from common kitchen scraps and get advice on how to avoid and correct common problems when composting.
Whether you are a life-long resident, seasonal resident, or a new transplant to south Florida, the Garden Talks series is a great place to get useful and practical gardening advice.

No previous gardening experience or attendance is required.
