Through an allocation of $400,000 in Rural Development loan funds from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Intermediary Relending Program, Palm Beach County has established the USDA Rural Revolving Loan Fund for business and community development in rural parts of the county, including Belle Glade, Pahokee, and South Bay.

Selected through a competitive, nationwide application process, HES serves as an intermediary for this revolving loan fund. The loans issued will be leveraged by funding from other public and private sources to promote business growth and create jobs in the county’s rural communities.

Eligible projects may include: acquisition, construction, conversion, enlargement, or repair of a business facility which creates or retains jobs; land acquisition and development; purchase of machinery and equipment; working capital, and, pollution control and abatement.
